Aadhaar Terms & Conditions

1. I hereby certify that I have submitted the Aadhaar Card issued by UIDAI voluntarily for identification and/or address proof towards compliance with the KYC norms under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002.
2. I hereby consent that Punjab National Bank may verify the Aadhaar number provided by me with UIDAI and authorize UIDAI to release my identity and address information through biometric/OTP-based authentication to the Bank.
3. I understand that Punjab National Bank shall rely upon the information received from UIDAI for processing my Fixed Deposit account opening formalities.

PAN Terms & Conditions

1. I hereby certify that I have submitted the PAN Card issued by the Income Tax Department voluntarily for identification and/or address proof towards compliance with the KYC norms under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002.
2. I hereby consent that Punjab National Bank may verify the PAN number provided by me with the Income Tax Department and authorize the Income Tax Department to release my identity and address information to the Bank.
3. I understand that Punjab National Bank shall rely upon the information received from the Income Tax Department for processing my Fixed Deposit account opening formalities.

Terms & Conditions

1. A fixed deposit account through this process can be opened only by resident individuals aged 18 years or above. Joint FD accounts are not permitted.
2. A valid PAN number is mandatory for opening an FD through the DIY journey.
3. Payment Gateway charges, if any, shall be borne by the customer.
4. If the customer opens an operative account during the FD tenure, the maturity proceeds will be credited to that account maintained with the Bank.
5. An FD cannot be closed if a lien is marked against it. The system will automatically validate lien status when a premature closure request is made.
6. Bank shall freeze customer accounts upon receiving orders from enforcement authorities. At the time of maturity, the depositor must submit a request letter to the bank for renewal. If the depositor does not exercise his option of choosing the term for renewal, the bank will automatically renew the deposit for a term equal to the original term.
7. FD may be transferred to a branch other than the one where it was originally issued, if the depositor submits a formal request in the home branch.
8. In case of an NEFT/RTGS transfer failure because the repayment account is closed or frozen, the FD amount kept with the bank will not earn any interest at the Deposit account rate or at the contracted FD rate for the entire period it remains unclaimed.
9. The unclaimed FD proceeds can only be collected from the home branch.
10. All other guidelines related to term deposits shall be applicable as per the Bank's existing guidelines and as updated from time to time.
11. The fixed deposit account will be opened on the date the payment is received and the applicable rate of interest (ROI) will be that of the date the payment is received by the Bank.
12. By availing the Fixed Deposit (FD) product of PNB, the customer consents to the collection and processing of their personal and financial data for servicing the FD and for receiving personalized offers on other products and services of PNB.
13. On closure of the Fixed Deposit account, applicable TDS and charges will be deducted as per the Bank's existing policy and as updated from time to time.
